**Paint Technician**by - Jan 28, 2022 **POSITION SUMMARY:**This position is for a commercial body Painting Technician requiring some painting skill working in the Paint Department of Harbor Truck & Van. While we have high expectations of all of our employees, you would be working in a friendly family-oriented atmosphere that holds employees in high respect and honors diversity.**KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:**- Cleaning finished products- Inspecting quality of paint/prime job- Prepping Truck bodies for priming/painting booth- Priming/Painting Truck Bodies/ Accessories- Repairing paint/ prime jobsEXPERTISE REQUIRED: - Love of trucks- Knowledge of Proper Painting techniques- Attention to detail- Time management skills**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:**- A high school diploma or equivalent GED.- Vocational course in painting or previous painting training.- Ability to work as a team member on a Lean Team- Must be able to finish work within given time per Lean Manufacturing**PROVEN OPERATING AND SAFETY TRAINING A PLUS:*** Portable Heaters* Buffing & Polishing metals* Power tools* Pneumatic tools* Paints & Solvents* Spray Painting* Painting Airless Sprayers* Automotive Painting* Spray Booth* Construction Recycling: Mixing of Hazardous Chemicals or Paint**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:**This job operates in a manufacturing plant environment. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to communicate, lift up to 50lb., stand, sit, bend, stoop, reach overhead, operate in confined spaces and climb ladders and/or work in high places.
