Position Summary As the Journeyman Plumber you will support our business by designing and installing plumbing systems that include water, gas, waste and heating components and testing the systems for quality control. This position requires the oversight of front line workers who support the system installations. This position requires a focus on safety awareness and protocol and working to the Dvele Standard. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Ability to read and interpret blueprint design concepts and technical documents Perform installation of all types of piping and fixtures Work carefully to follow all current regulations for plumbing work to ensure that all installed systems are to code and pass inspections Post-installation of plumbing systems, you will be responsible for the testing of pipes and fixtures to ensure the integrity of the systems to be free from leaks or breakage. Communicate with and manage apprentice plumbers on plumbing projects Follow OSHA regulations and standards as well as keep up to date with current safety regulations and requirements for the various plumbing systems Ability to keep accurate and complete records of plumbing projects Other job duties as assigned Education - Qualifications - Success Factors Education & Certifications: A High School diploma or GED credential is preferred A valid driver's license is required Completion of technical training through a trade school or a recognized apprenticeship program is required Must be registered as a Journeyman or meet the requirements for a CA State contractors license Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints Qualifications: 4-6 years of experience in the plumbing field is required Experience with NetSuite software Success Factors: Strong attention to detail and delivery of quality work A team player who is reliable, dependable, and collaborative Seeks out opportunities and effectively communicates ways to improve processes and efficiencies Interest in professional growth and development Must be flexible and adaptable to change in business priorities A sense of pride and ownership in your work and contributions Working Conditions & Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the primary functions of this job.
