Responsibilities

• The position has the responsibility of assisting the project team on small to medium sized construction projects
• Maintain site cleanliness
• Install and maintain barricades and protection
• Load and unload trucks and haul and hoist materials
• Enforce site safety policies
• Maintain positive relationship with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and other employees
• Self-perform minor scopes of work
• Install structures and fixtures, such as windows and molding and tiles
• Measure, cut, or shape wood, plastic, fiberglass, drywall, and other materials
• Construct building frameworks, including wall studs, floor joists, and doorframes
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee may regularly work on-site at the construction work site where the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock, Running and operating a steel erection team
• Running and operating onsite rented or owned equipment, such as: forklifts, scissor lifts, welding machines, boom lifts
• Oversee the delivery of materials, construction tools and equipment to the job site
• Ensure that all safety precautions are adhered to by our entire team

  This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a trusted background check. In order to obtain a clearance, you need to be a US Citizen, a Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) and show proof.
  
  Job Requirements: Qualifications
  
  • Experience in construction site safety. 10-hour OSHA training preferred.
  • Ability to travel to Ft Irwin Goldstone Deep Space Communication Complex on a daily basis.
  • Willingness to work overtime and rotational hours.
  • Willingness to work at heights.
  • Performance of the duties will occasionally require physical ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs, passenger use of construction personnel hoists, ability to climb ladders and negotiate work areas under construction
  • Performing this job requires use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, sit, talk and hear, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Must have the ability to multitask
  • Need to know how to use various hand and power tools and operate large machinery
  • Experience in carpentry, concrete work, demolition, and excavation are essential, though we may be willing to train candidates who demonstrate they are hard-working, reliable, and can learn quickly
  • High school diploma or GED certificate
  • Prefer 1+ years of industry experience
  • Must be able to pass a drug test and background check
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, regulations, instruction manuals, blueprints, and specifications
  • Good oral and written communications skills and the ability to speak, write and read English
