Job Description:

Maintenance Lead FULL-TIME $30/hr - Provides leadership and direction to the maintenance crew in the areas of machine repairs, preventative maintenance, and building maintenance tasks that are mechanical/electrical in nature.
- Responsible for documenting all such work, both for internal company records and to meet legal requirements and manufacturing of all products, including alcohol, in accordance with Refresco s standard operating procedures and policies.
- Adheres to all health and safety policies/procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE) while in the warehouse or production areas (including but not limited to hairnets/beard nets, safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toe boots and seatbelts while operating forklifts)
- Responsible for adhering to food quality and safety as per quality standards and/or Safe Quality Food requirements.
- Plans and performs complex corrective and preventative maintenance requiring a thorough knowledge of mechanical theories and principles.
- Ensures all upgrades for equipment are compliant with Occupational Health & Safety Act.
- Minimizes downtime ensuring replacement/spare parts are available through proper preventative maintenance management by adhering to manufacturer s guidelines.
- Assists in scheduling maintenance personnel to cover production line maintenance needs.
- Contributes to measurable improvements in scheduled, unscheduled, and breakdown maintenance related downtime and the costs associated with these events to contribute to CPC (cost per case) goals for each plant.
- Reviews daily preventative maintenance (PM) sheets and schedule work accordingly.
- Reviews any changes made to the production line and makes necessary changes to work orders.
- Coordinates and addresses equipment failure promptly to minimize downtime.
- Supports Mechanics with machine issues on the production floor.
- Assists in training Mechanics on production equipment and maintaining Lockout/Tagout Program.
- Coordinates and monitors the Preventative Maintenance program.
- Coordinates parts requirements with Parts Coordinator.
- Checks the mail folder in the Parts Room for any pertinent messages.
- Executes the escalation process if downtime exceeds plant targets and there is an issue solving the problem.
- Participates in Continuous Improvement Projects and supports initiatives with technical expertise.
