Daylight TransportJob Description Job Title: Maintenance Coordinator Department: Linehaul Reports To: Fleet Operations Supervisor FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Prepared Date: 04/27/2022 SUMMARY The Maintenance Coordinator will ensure that the maintenance requirements for all rolling assets are met. The individual will be responsible for coordinating asset traffic between Service Centers to ensure each asset is properly positioned for maintenance. Additionally, the Maintenance Coordinator will also be responsible for managing maintenance costs.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Tracks and ensures assets are compliant on both State and Federal Department of Transportation maintenance regulations.Closely coordinate and oversee maintenance and performance of asset in multiple locations nationwideEnsures that proper preventative maintenance is conducted on all assets in a timely manner to maximize utilization.Ensures that proper breakdown maintenance is conducted on all assets in a timely manner and of the highest standard of quality.Minimizes asset maintenance rework.Maintains and updates all maintenance records to ensure data integrity.Improves existing maintenance and yard flow processes, and creates new ones as needed.Resolve's incidents involving company assets in a safe and timely mannerFollows all safety policies and procedures; works with the safety team to achieve safety goals.Maintains contact with vendors to schedule supplementary maintenance capacity.Coordinates the traffic of assets between locations, maintaining communication with management at each location to facilitate movement.Coordinates off-site repairs with vendors as required.Tracks parts usage and schedules the necessary replenishment.Use KPI's to assess maintenance cost and asset performance and provide strategic recommendations for improvementResponsible for the financial performance of the maintenance program.Maintains close communication with maintenance personnel to ensure maximum quality and utilization.Regularly interacts with personnel in other departments and companies.Provides clerical and administrative support to the Linehaul department as needed.Performs other job-related duties as assigned, required, or apparent.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES- NoneQUALIFICATIONS- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Post-secondary education desired. Maintenance experience required, Fleet Maintenance experience desiredLANGUAGE SKILLS- Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Strong math and data analytics skills preferred.REASONING ABILITY- Apply common sense and understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Must possess analytical skills and ability to think quickly.OTHER SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS- Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel. Must be able to type 40WPM.
