Shared Services: Trust Administration (Full-Time, Day Shift)

The Trust Officer is responsible for an assigned group of trust
agreements, gift annuities and life income agreements. Serves as
liaison between LLUSS and the related entities served, as a
corporate fiduciary, and the trustors and beneficiaries. Utilizes
and coordinates with accounting, investment, legal, tax and
development professionals and departments in order to assure that
agreement obligations are fulfilled and to accomplish the
realization of the organization's mission and philanthropic goals.
Maintains working knowledge of fiduciary and general business law,
with adequate federal and state tax background to apply these laws
to trust and estate work. Performs other duties as needed
Bachelor's degree required. Master's Degree in Business
Administration, Accounting or Juris Doctorate Degree preferred.
Minimum two years of experience in planned giving, trust
administration or related field required. Minimum three years of
experience in public accounting or law with an emphasis in trusts
and estates preferred. Trust-services certified by the Seventh-day
Adventist Church required, with 16 hours of continuing education
annually required. California State Bar License or Certified Public
Accountant License required or California Professional Fiduciary
License required within one year of employment. Valid Driver's
License required at time of hire.
Able to read; write legibly; speak in English with professional
quality; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to
the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Operate/troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the
position. Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively,
and professionally with others; work calmly and respond courteously
when under pressure; collaborate and accept direction. Able to
communicate effectively in English in person, in writing, and on
the telephone; think critically; manage multiple assignments
effectively; organize and prioritize workload; work well under
pressure; problem solve; recall information with accuracy; pay
close attention to detail; work independently with minimal
supervision. Able to distinguish colors as necessary; hear
sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the
telephone, and identify and distinguish various sounds associated
with the workplace; see adequately to read computer screens, and
written documents necessary to the position.
