Job Description:
East Campus: DiagNstic Radiology (Part-time, Night Shift) -

The Radiologic Technologist-Multimodality provides nurturing,
compassionate and personalized patient-centered care in an
environment that focuses on healing body, mind and spirit.
Administers radiographic and fluoroscopic roentgen rays and
performs Computed Tomographic (CT) procedures utilizing specialized
equipment on patients following prescribed protocols. Majority of
time will be spent performing radiographic and fluoroscopic exams.
CT exams will be performed as needed. Prepares the patients,
equipment, and supplies prior to exams. Performs other duties as
needed.
Graduate from an accredited two year American Registry of
Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) approved program in Radiologic
Technology. California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) and
Fluoroscopy license required. American Registry of Radiologic
Technologists (ARRT) license required. Basic Life Support
Certification required. Computed Tomography (CT) Registry eligible
and must be taken within twelve months of hire date. Minimum one
year in a Hospital Diagnostic Radiology setting including portable
radiography, radiology fluoroscopy and Operating Room C-arm
experience preferred. Minimum of one year of experience in Computed
Tomography (CT) preferred.
Ability and knowledge to operate all appropriate Computed
Tomography and Diagnostic Imaging equipment and perform necessary
procedures. Able to read; write legibly; speak in English (and
Spanish preferred) with professional quality; use computer,
printer, and software programs necessary to position and operate
all appropriate Radiology equipment. Excellent interpersonal skills
in dealing with patients of all ages, physicians and co-workers.
Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively and
professionally with others; work calmly and respond courteously
when under pressure; accept direction. Able to communicate
effectively in English in person, in writing, and on the telephone;
think critically; manage multiple assignments effectively; organize
and prioritize workload; work well under pressure; problem solve;
recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail;
work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to communicate
effectively about complex matters with others. Ability to hear
sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the
telephone, identify and distinguish various sounds associated with
workplace/patient care; see adequately to read computer screens,
medical records and written documents necessary to the position;
discern temperature variances through touch.
