Job Description:


We are seeking a **Facilities Task Coordinator** in Fort Irwin, CA to support ourSpace Communications Network Services -Deep Space Network (DSN) - Operations and Maintenance (O&M) contract with the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) and NASA.

As the Facilities Task Coordinator, you will be responsible for the coordination and supervision of specific Facilities-related technical tasks or functions, and will ensure that all activities are carried out in accordance with project commitments or specific objectives. You will handle day-to-day coordination and administration of tasks by ensuring quality and productivity standards are maintained, while meeting customer requirements. Task coordination will include areas covering many facets of the Facilities domain, and may include any of: construction of civil works, oversight of roofing repairs/replacement, asphalt evaluation and providing maintenance recommendations, structural seismic evaluations, potable water piping condition analysis, chilled water systems, excavation familiarity, fencing, and exterior building surface painting.


Coordinates with internal and external customers, as well as acting as the Point of Contact (POC) for subcontractor personnel to ensure proper execution of task elements, safety of personnel and adherence to regulatory references as well as the task Statement of Work (SOW). Works with project manager and/or customer to prepare work schedules and labor estimates. Provides written management or program plans, maintenance and operations instructions, task status analysis, cost reports, and other related documents. Ensures all administrative tools are effectively used to control and accomplish tasks and may provide operations security protection for all sensitive/critical information. Assists with writing manuals and other documentation. Responsible for status and task management reports for area of responsibility.

Major Job Activities:

+ Establish and enforce policy and procedures related as they pertain to assigned tasks

+ Engage in performing analysis of various civil related systems as needed

+ Develop and prepare deliverable reports and accompanying correspondence for transmittal to the customer

+ Provide technical direction and determine labor staffing requirements to effectively carry out work assignments

+ Establish requirements and scheduling for Facilities and support personnel and ensure quality and integrity of all planned Facilities projects

+ Performs other duties as required; may set up and manage project facilities; may be an individual contributor


**Required Qualifications:**

+ Minimum requirements are a BS/BA (Engineering or technical discipline preferred) and 2+ years of directly related experience; without a degree, 8+ years of related experience is required

+ Technical skills and experience related to various civil engineering trades to include any of the following: Math and Physics, map reading, reviewing blueprints, design techniques, and computer-aided design (CAD) software

+ Experience performing Project Management tasks as the Lead on multiple projects, with ability to guide a project through from planning to design, and to construction through completion

+ Experience managing and coordinating diverse teams that consist of contractors, architects, construction managers, other engineers, and technicians

+ Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point (MS Office Suite), MS Project, and Windows operating system

+ Must possess and retain a valid California drivers' license

+ Must be able to obtain a trusted background check and pass a National Criminal Information Check (NCIC). In order to obtain a clearance you need to be a US Citizen and show proof of citizenship.

+ Ability to manage multiple objectives and adapt to change quickly

+ Analytical skills, critical thinking, and detailed oriented
