Linda Valley Care Center - Payroll / Receptionist- Skilled
Nursing -
Pay Scale $21.27-$26.59 (hiring up to $23.93) depending on relevant
Experience, Education, Certification. -
JOB FUNCTION
Responsible for the functions of the business office. - May be
concurrently scheduled as receptionist, greet guests, and answers
phone. - Works with community staff and corporate personnel to
coordinate payroll and benefits. - Assists the Executive Director
and department heads in personnel record keeping, employee
benefits, and worker's compensation issues. -
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. - - - Completes timecard processing after review by department
heads.
2. - - - Enters payroll data into computer.
3. - - - Coordinates community worker's compensation program.
4. - - - Greets all visitors in a friendly, courteous, and
professional manner. - Screens and requires guests to "sign in" on
the appropriate section of the log.
5. - - - Answers the phone in a courteous and professional manner.
- Routes calls and takes messages when indicated.
6. - - - Coordinates employee benefits for the community and
required documentation.
7. - - - Coordinates quality improvement program related to Human
Resources functions and participates in community-wide quality
improvement activities.
8. - - - Receives, distributes, collects, verifies coding, data
entry of AP invoices.
9. - - - Gives community tours as needed.
10. - Types correspondence and sends mailings for Executive
Director and department heads as time permits.
11. - Works as a team member to maintain a pleasant, effective work
environment for staff and caring home environment for the
residents.
12. - Serves on committees as assigned.
13. - - - Performs other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED
Receives general supervision from the Executive Director and
consultation and direction from Chancellor Health Care
personnel.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED
Works with all departments' heads and staff on payroll and
personnel issues. - -

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1. - - - A high school diploma is required.
2. - - - Two to three years relevant work experience.
3. - - - Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.
4. - - - Ability to maintain confidentiality.
5. - - - Must be able to use a computer.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS
Ability to perform accounting work with detailed accuracy. -
Ability to work in an open area with frequent interruptions. -
