Job Description:

As a part of our continued growth, we are searching for a new Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join one of our affiliated medical practices! Coverage will be needed in both Fontana and Chino Hills.The NP/PA is responsible for the day to day clinical care of patients. The Provider manages the health of patients by providing preventive evaluations and wellness education, and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses/conditions. The Provider is responsible for the coordination of care with specialists and appropriate ancillary services.Primary Responsibilities:Examines, diagnoses and treats patients for acute injuries, infections, and illnessesCounsels and educates patients and families about acute and chronic conditions or concernsDocuments items such as: appropriate chief complaint, past medical, family, and social history, review of systems, examinations, medications, allergies, assessment and planFormulates diagnostic and treatment plansPrescribes and administers medications, therapies, and proceduresOrders lab and imaging tests to determine and manage an immediate treatment plan and provides advice on follow upResponsible for the coordination of care with specialists and appropriate ancillary servicesCompletes all documentation and paperwork in a timely mannerMaintains quality of care standards as defined by the practiceRequirementsUnrestricted CA Medical LicenseNP or PA certificationCurrent CA DEA certificate required prior to start dateAt least 1 of experience in an Urgent Care or ED settingExperience with suturingACLSUnitedHealth Group requires all new hires and employees to report their COVID-19 vaccination statusFull COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement of this role.
