Position Title: Director of Professional Learning (Part-Time)Location: ROE#33 and ROE#26 OfficesDepartment: Professional Development ConsortiumReports to: Assistant Regional Superintendent of ROE #33FLSA Class: ExemptRevised Date: 07/01/2025SUMMARYThe role of the Director of Professional Learning is to provide a comprehensive professional development program to support and transform school and district education initiatives. The Director of Professional Learning shall be responsible for overseeing professional development and curriculum improvement services in a variety of formats.The functions assigned to this position are designed to enhance instruction through the utilization of progressive, research-based professional development techniques and serve as an aggressive resource to districts in the service area. The region serviced by the PD Consortium will include the following counties: Fulton, Hancock, Henderson, Knox, McDonough, Mercer, Schyler, and Warren Counties.QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, & CRITICAL SKILLS

• Professional Educators License
• Experience planning and delivering adult learning opportunities.
• Knowledge of Google Suite and Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc. and Virtual Meeting Platforms.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
• Ability to push/pull up to 10 lbs.
• Ability to communicate to students, parents, and staff in an acceptable/courteous manner.
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills to work with teachers, education support personnel, building administrators, and the general public.
• Enforce ROE regulations and policies in a professional manner.
• Ability to maintain good working relationships with fellow employees and pupils.ABOUT THE ROEThe Regional Office of Education is an intermediate agency between the Illinois State Board of Education and local school districts. The Regional Office of Education #33 works with nine districts across the four counties: Henderson, Knox, Mercer, and Warren. We have eight programs and nine different services, with over 200 employees throughout the four counties. These programs and services can be anything from parenting classes and professional development for area educators to bus driver training, fingerprinting, and much more.
