- Managed Care (Full-Time, Day Shift) -

The Manager-Network Development and Contracting for Managed Care
actively participates in a range of market strategy projects
essential to LLUH's membership and margin goals, while actively
managing, evaluating, and developing basic contractual arrangements
with community providers and vendors. Performs other duties as
needed.
Bachelor's degree required; four years of healthcare analytical
experience may be in lieu of degree. Five years of healthcare
strategic planning and financial analysis experience required.
Knowledge of GAAP and CMS and DMHC requirements for Health Plans
that operate in CA. Exceptional computer skills including a
superior working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Access, and Excel.
Expertise in working with website development, maintenance, and
updating is essential. Minute taking and meeting management skills.
Must have organizational skills, good judgment in prioritizing, and
following through duties to completion. Essential Work
cooperatively with others. Task oriented and able to work
effectively in a high-volume office with numerous interruptions
while continuing to complete tasks correctly and on time. Strong
organizational skills. Flexible. Exceptional communication skills
both verbally and in writing. Good customer service skills. Exhibit
a high degree of responsibility for confidential matters. Ability
to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently. Able to speak,
read and write English, perform math and analyze data. Able to
provide analytical, strategic-thinking, and leadership skills. The
ability to listen carefully, evaluate information, and make
measured decisions based on the current situation and working
closely with supervision. Must be able to see, hear, and speak well
enough to perform job duties and communicate in person and over the
phone. Able to lead multiple market strategy teams concurrently.
Able to manage multiple complex market strategies and business line
issues. Strong emphasis on problem resolution skills, effective
communication and team building for all relevant parties. Able to
relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally
with others; provide leadership; be assertive and consistent in
enforcing policies; work calmly and respond courteously when under
pressure; lead, supervise, teach, and collaborate; accept
direction. Able to distinguish colors as necessary; hear
sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the
telephone and identify and distinguish various sounds associated
with the workplace; see adequately to read computer screens, and
written documents necessary to the position.
