The Nurse Manager Senior-RN is responsible for the overall
operation of Physician Medical Group's clinic practices. Is
responsible for the clinical staff and coordinating clinical
operations of multiple specialty clinics in five clinical
locations. Interfaces with physicians, employees, patients,
visitors, and other professionals, maintaining positive
relationships with the ability to delegate and coordinate
responsibility. This position requires independent judgment,
decision-making, excellent managerial skills and is directly
related to the oversight of all clinical activities. The Senior
Nurse Manager advances department/LLUHC philosophy into their work
performance while maintaining professional integrity. Performs
other duties as needed.
Graduate of a Licensed Registered Nursing (RN) School. At least
five years supervising 25+ employees in an ambulatory clinical
setting required; previous charge nurse experience preferred.
Current and unrestricted California RN license required. Current
BLS required within first 30 days of hire.
Able to read; write legibly; speak in English with professional
quality; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to
the position; troubleshoot and calibrate patient care equipment;
perform technical patient care activities. Able to relate and
communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with
others; be assertive and consistent in following and/or enforcing
policies; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure;
lead, supervise, teach, and collaborate; accept direction. Able to
communicate effectively in English in person, in writing, and on
the telephone; think critically; perform basic math functions;
manage multiple assignments effectively; organize and prioritize
workload; work well under pressure; problem solve; recall
information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail; work
independently with minimal supervision. Able to distinguish colors
as necessary for patient care; hear sufficiently for general
conversation in person and on the telephone and to perform patient
assessments; identify and distinguish various sounds associated
with the workplace/patient care; see adequately to read computer
screens, medical records, and written documents necessary to
position; discern temperature variances through touch.
