& Repair Management, EDI, Customer Service, and a variety of Brand

Director of Distribution Growth and Innovation
The Director of Distribution Growth and Innovation is responsible
for the successful execution of projects and implementations
related to scalable solutions. Accountable for a delegated
Leadership team with a big impact, this new role is imperative to
the company's organizational success as they continue to grow and
find creative solutions for their Clients and their Team Members.
As they look to adopt new technologies and continue to add square
footage around the globe, the Director of Distribution Growth and
Innovation will be accountable for the opening of new facilities,
user adoption of new technologies and initiatives/projects across
the Company's 16 facilities (and growing) in the USA and Canada,
with plans for further international growth and expansion. The
Director of Distribution Growth and Innovation will require
collaborating with internal stakeholders and third-party
vendors/Clients, to deliver specified requirements and objectives
within the constraints of scope, quality, time, and cost, utilizing
project management methodology. The Director of Distribution Growth
and Innovation will partner with leadership across all lines of
business to ensure changes to the operating model contributes to
improvements in metrics, financial performance, and employee
engagement. They will be expected to deliver measurable results
while leading change management efforts to build support and buy-in
from employees and leadership teams.

Responsibilities
Consult with internal departments to complete project start tasks
for building startup, Client moves, and racking layouts including
but not limited to review drawings and request for quotes, complete
materials take-offs, review quotes, coordinate completion of
drawings, document client approvals, and make modifications as
necessary.
Negotiate with a wide variety of vendors on a regular basis.
Secure the best prices and contracts with vendors on behalf of the
company.
Create and manage project budgets.
Create and manage CAPEX budgets.
Act as a liaison between internal departments and our
vendors-managing complex projects and timelines from inception to
completion.
Provide detailed updates to management through both written and
verbal communication.
Develop and control project schedule and deliverables ensuring
scope of work is well defined and understood by both internal and
external stakeholders.
Manage the project to defined plan, ensuring sign offs and customer
approvals (internal and external) as needed and detailed
documentation of all agreements, changes, and issues.
Manage risks and their impact and create awareness of risks with
internal and external stakeholders.
Manage all phases of project delivery from concept to
sustainability, including stakeholder management, project/program
governance, scope, schedule, budget, issue, and risk
management.
Work with stakeholders at all levels to develop project charter and
scope of work documents, project schedule, and risk and issue
management plans.
Track progress against project milestones and hold others
accountable for assigned tasks.
Identify and mitigate barriers to successful project execution and
escalates as appropriate.
Schedule internal and client facing project meetings; track and
manage follow-up actions; independently facilitate client update
calls.
Incorporate best practices to design and deliver measurable
productivity improvements.
Perform operational analysis including risk assessments, process
mapping, process redesign, process simulations, root cause
analysis, and time in motion studies.
Embed consistent processes across North America operations.
Identify, evaluate, and implement new technology solutions.
Develop and maintain process documents (process maps, etc.).
Review and monitor Plans vs Actual while tracking, managing, and
reporting out KPIs.
Amend and change reporting routines at local stations.
Advise necessary changes to Operations leadership.
Experience
Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, or related
field.
5+ years of project management or industrial engineering experience
in a logistics and/or distribution center environment required;
experience in either 3PL or Brand level in apparel, footwear, or
accessories highly preferred.
Managed multi sites operations globally a plus.
Six Sigma, Lean or 5S certified or trained is a plus.
Must be able to travel domestically and internationally for
business purposes and be mobile to work at multiple facilities.
Must have physical ability to carry out essential job functions,
including but not limited to, walking, and standing, climbing
ladders/stairs, and working around equipment in a safety sensitive
environment.
A genuine curiosity of how things work and an ability to work
collaboratively to find creative solutions.
A servant leadership mindset.
Excellent technical capabilities, inclusive of WMS experience and
proficiency in Excel.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong
internal and external client service orientation.
Experience with Project Software, e.g., Microsoft Project.
Project management designation or education, PMP or other related
certification.
Ability to be hands on, in the Distribution Center - cooperate &
collaborate through influence.
Ability to bring cross-functional teams together to collaborate on
projects.
Strong attention to detail, time management and analytical
skills.
