SUMMARY of POSITION: As Financial and Procurement Manager, this position is responsible to manage and plan all aspects of price/cost management, procurement management, and physical and system inventory accuracy. Price/cost management includes maintaining appropriate standard costing and pricing in a way that provides appropriate inventory valuations and permits sell price changes in a timely manner to meet or exceed profitability goals. Procurement management includes planning, purchasing and monitoring of raw materials and other items for production and distribution including identifying and sourcing suppliers, developing relationships and resolving supplier issues. This pivotal role will be responsible for developing and ensuring compliance to company administrative and purchasing policies, ensuring inventory accuracy by monitoring production reporting and bill of material accuracy. In addition, this position will be responsible for assisting in the development of budget and forecasts, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures RESPONSIBILITIES and REQUIREMENTS: Develop and analyze standard costing and Bill of Material Analyze actual manufacturing costs and material usage in order prepare reports comparing standard costs and usage to actual production cost and usage Develop and communicate product pricing based on current and expected manufacturing costs including raw materials, packaging and labor and overhead Support for year-end audit and coordinate with external auditors for the physical inventory observation Oversee, give input/recommendations and work with internal and outsourced IT support to maintain integrity of IT business systems Provide direction and assistance to other organizational units regarding administrative and budgeting policies and procedures and efficient control Analyze the financial details of past, present, and expected operations to identify development opportunities and areas where improvement is needed Identify areas for process improvement and make recommendations on changes Develop and document internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for processes such as standards modifications, purchasing, expense reporting and budget administration, Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting Coordinate the activities related to procurement of materials and supplies to meet targeted inventory levels, required timeline, quality and total cost objectives. Verify inventory is at a proper level to maintain production with safety stock as needed on critical items. Research causes of potential product delays and implement countermeasures to ensure zero late shipments or deliveries. Issue purchase orders in a way that will keep a smooth flow of inventory parts, raw materials, and supplies to production and other departments. Track and expedite purchase orders as needed, keeping all internal and external customers informed of any materials delays or problems. Review supplier performance and take corrective actions as needed in a timely manner. Work to keep an open line of communication with vendors. Audit inventory levels and inbound receipts daily. Keep appropriate personnel informed of changes to vendor account information and status. Analyze figures from records such as sales forecasts, orders, and production records to obtain accurate and right sized inventory levels to support high levels of customer service and minimal production disruption. Identify and recommend best practices in order to continuously improve business processes to drive efficiency and accuracy in management of our planning process - this would include developing better and more efficient ways (automated) of doing business with suppliers and materials. Must be able to lead, communicate and establish teamwork, in order to accomplish the overall goals and develop strong working relationships. Maintain strict adherence to deadlines Display a professional image in all settings. Perform special projects and other related duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess 7 years--- experience in a manufacturing setting with price/cost analysis and procurement with escalation in responsibility overtime. A degree in business management with an emphasis on cost accounting and supply chain is preferred. Demonstrated strong aptitude for problem-solving, workflow management, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis and multi-tasking skills are essential. Must be results-orientated and able to work both independently and within a team environment. Strong computer and mathematics proficiency. Previous experience MAS 90 or equivalent accounting software. Ability to define problems; collect data; establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Proficiency with Internet and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word and Power Point). Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Superior presentation and public speaking skills. Effective time management including the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Ability to write well-structured, professional reports and business correspondence. Ability to develop creative responses to problems. Must be able to work effectively under pressure in a fast paced environment. Ability to gain in-depth knowledge of company products and services. Recommend and implement process improvements. A valid driver---s license is required and driving record which is acceptable to our insurance provider.
