Job Description Job Description Job Title: Construction Estimator (Commercial & Residential) Base Salary: Starting at $80,000/year (DOE) Benefits: Performance-based Bonuses Location: Las Vegas, NV Job Summary Inspired Construction Services is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. This role is critical in bridging our residential and commercial divisions. You will be responsible for accurately calculating the total costs of projects, ranging from ground-up residential builds and remodels to complex commercial Tenant Improvements (TI). The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of construction labor, materials, and local market costs to ensure our bids are both competitive and profitable. Key Responsibilities Cost Calculation: Analyze blueprints, architectural drawings, and specifications to prepare comprehensive cost estimates for residential and commercial projects. Project Scoping: Review "Scope of Work" documents to ensure all project requirements are captured in the bid. Bid Management: Draft and submit detailed proposals that outline material costs, labor hours, and project timelines. Vendor & Subcontractor Coordination: Maintain a directory of reliable subcontractors; obtain and negotiate quotes from multiple suppliers to find the most cost-effective solutions. Site Inspections: Visit construction sites to gather necessary data on field conditions and progress to ensure estimate accuracy. Collaboration: Work closely with Project Managers and Engineers to account for potential risk factors and cost deviations. Value Engineering: Find innovative ways to lower project costs while maintaining high-quality standards to help clients adhere to their budgets. Required Qualifications & Skills Commercial Experience: Proven track record in estimating Commercial Tenant Improvements (TI). Residential Experience: Experience in Ground-up Residential construction and/or Residential Remodels. Technical Proficiency: Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction specifications fluently. Analytical Skills: Strong mathematical and accounting skills to calculate labor, material, and time requirements accurately. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for negotiating with vendors and presenting bids to stakeholders. Education & Experience Experience: Minimum 3 years of professional estimating experience in both the residential and commercial sectors. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred; however, extensive on-site construction experience and a high school diploma/relevant diploma will be considered. Certification: (Optional/Preferred) Gold Seal Certification (CCA) or membership in relevant professional bodies (like CIQS) is a plus. Why Join Inspired Construction Services?
