Job duties: - Advanced secretarial and clerical work for the District Court. Serves as Secretary to District Court Judges taking dictation, typing correspondence and decisions. - Provides assistance in the setting and removal of cases from the trial calendar and performs related work as required. This position requires a high level of confidentiality and ability to manage a wide range of unexpected and frequent disruptions, while maintaining a pleasant disposition in serving the public.
Required education and experience: - Graduation from high school, courses in secretarial science and/or secretarial experience. Computer knowledge, including Microsoft Word.
Preferred qualifications: - Knowledge of court system or legal experience is preferred. - Employee must interact well with the public, including both written and verbal communication skills. - Good typing skills, spelling, grammar and punctuation are beneficial.
